Last day of School

The Board of Education has approved our recommendation to adjust the calendar for Thursday, June 9, 2016. Specifically, that day will be an early dismissal for students and a full day for staff.

The Food Service Department would like to remind all parents and guardians that students with negative meal accounts will not be able to charge meals after May 13, 2016. The Cafeterias will continue to accept cash, checks and meal payments at WWW.myschoolbucks.com until the last day of school.

Fatherhood Initiative

Dorchester County Department of Social Services is pleased to announce that on June 3-4, DCDSS in partnership with the Dorchester County Board of Education, will be hosting a Fatherhood Roundtable. On Wednesday, May 4, 2016, seventy elementary school “Student Mathletes” representing grades 1 through 5 came together at Mace’s Lane Middle School for a chance to compete in the First Annual Dorchester County Public Schools Math 24 Tournament Challenge. Initially, students competed at their individual schools and then each school sent the top 2 grade level representatives to compete for a chance to be crowned the County-Wide Math 24 Grade Level Champion. A total of fourteen students from each grade participated in rounds one and two. From there, the top 8 students advanced to compete in round 3. The final…

All Dorchester County Public School employees and students now have Office 365 accounts, which allow users to collaborate with Office Online at school or at home. This means access to Word Online, Excel Online, PowerPoint Online and other Office Online features. One Drive is also included in Office Online. One Drive is a cloud-based personal storage solution. This will allow users to store their work on their One Drive and be able to access it anywhere with a device that has an internet connection.
