C-SDHS Senior Signs Apprenticeship Agreement
Thomas Frazier, a Cambridge-South Dorchester High School senior, recently signed an employment agreement with GKD-USA through the Maryland Youth Apprenticeship Program. Thomas is the second Dorchester County Public Schools student to begin an apprenticeship with GKD-USA.
The Maryland Youth Apprenticeship Program is an “earn and learn” opportunity for students. Eligible candidates must be at least 16 years old, have reliable transportation, and be on track to graduate with all diploma dependent coursework. Youth apprentices complete a minimum of 450 working hours under the supervision of an assigned mentor.
To learn more about the program, visit the Dorchester County Public Schools website, click on the link for the student’s high school, and further information can be found on the school’s home page.
