DCTC Program Receives Gift
Carter CAT of Elkridge, Maryland recently delivered a generous donation of software and equipment to the Medium/Heavy Truck program at Dorchester Career and Technology Center.
Company representative Jess Denning visited the school to hand over a C7.1 CAT engine with after-treatment system and an after-treatment module, three axle assemblies for brakes, three subscriptions of CAT ET (Electronic Technician) software, access to SIS (Service Information Systems), and a Communication Adapter 3 for student use in the program.
Greg Insley, program instructor, expressed thanks for the company’s support of the DCTC program, saying, “Students will be able to use all of these items to extend and deepen their knowledge and understanding. For example, students will be able to disassemble/assemble the air brakes and measure brake components.”
Carter CAT is a dealer and repair facility of CAT (Caterpillar) Power Systems, selling new and used equipment as well as providing rentals and training.
