BLUEPRINT FOR MARYLAND’S FUTURE

BLUEPRINT FOR MARYLAND’S FUTURE

The Blueprint for Maryland’s Future is legislation that was passed in 2021 that is bringing comprehensive changes to public schools.  Statewide, education funding is being increased by $3.8 billion each year over the next decade.  From MSDE, “The Blueprint will enrich student experiences, accelerate student outcomes and improve the overall quality of education in Maryland’s public schools.”  The Blueprint is divided into the following five policy areas, or pillars:   Early Childhood Education, High-Quality and Diverse Teachers and Leaders, College and Career Readiness Pathways (including Career and Technical Education), More Resources to Ensure All Students are Successful, and Governance and Accountability.  Mrs. Regina Teat and Mr. Tim Brooke along with the Blueprint Work Groups will be overseeing the implementation of the Blueprint in Dorchester County.
