An Open Letter to the Community from Superintendent Bromwell
In the early fall we feared the spread of COVID-19, a deadly disease for which there is no vaccine. It began as an enemy to humans then became more invasive to United States citizens beginning in January 2020. To survive and protect the health and safety of our community and those around us, we unified our efforts, we worked together to heed the advice of our public health officials and we took every precaution to prevent further infection. DCPS Teacher of the Year and First-Class Teacher of the Year Announced Cherie Robinson Dorchester County’s 2020-2021 Teacher of the Year Cherie Robinson, a 30-year teaching veteran, has been named Dorchester County Public Schools Teacher of the Year for the 2020-2021 school year. Dorchester County Public Schools is Bringing Active Shooter Response Training to Dorchester County Dorchester County Public Schools and the ALICE Training Institute have teamed up to bring ALICE Instructor Certification Training to Dorchester County. W. David Bromwell Appointed as Superintendent of Dorchester County Public Schools The Board of Education of Dorchester County is pleased to announce the appointment of W. David Bromwell to a four-year term, beginning July 1, 2020, as Superintendent of Dorchester County Public Schools. Mr. Bromwell was appointed by a unanimous roll call vote at the February 20, 2020 Board of Education Meeting. Mr. Bromwell has served as Interim Superintendent since July 1, 2019.
