charting our cuorse for the future graphic

Update: October 4, 2024

Dorchester County Public Schools is charting our course for the future by developing a strategic plan for 2025-2028. Our goal is to go from the 23rd rated district in the state of Maryland to the 15th. We are looking at our data. We are learning from successful districts. We are asking our teachers, staff, and school leaders what they need to thrive and excel as employees of DCPS. We are seeking ideas from our students. And we’d like you to be involved in this conversation.

It will take all of us -- students, families, teachers, staff, board members, community members, business partners -- to share ideas and to make our plans a reality for our students and their families. We invite you to join us at one (or more!) of our Community Meetings to share your thoughts, to be held as follows:

• Monday, October 14, 6:00 – 7:30, Hurlock United Methodist Church, 502 S. Main St., Hurlock MD 21643

• Tuesday, October 15, 6:00 – 7:30, St. Luke’s Methodist Church, 712 Bradley Ave., Cambridge MD 21613

• Wednesday, October 16, 6:00 – 7:30, South Dorchester School, 3485 Golden Hill Rd., Church Creek, MD 21622
