Our Homecoming football game is Friday, September 27th vs. Colonel Richardson, and to kick off the night, the Vikings are hosting a HOMECOMING TAILGATE! We're calling all CSD Alumni and supporters to come celebrate with former CSD Vikings from the classes of '84, '94, '04, and '14! Tailgate is from 5PM - 9PM with food trucks and a DJ, and kickoff for the HOCO game is at 6PM in Viking Stadium. Tickets for the game will be on GoFan.co or credit/debit at the gate for entry, and are $6 per adult / $3 per student.


Our Lady Vikings Varsity Soccer team takes on Mardela in Viking Stadium this evening at 5:30PM! Come out and support our student athletes! Tickets for this event are $6 adults/$3 students on GoFan.co or can be purchased with credit/debit at the gate.


It's the first full week of school at CSD, which includes Picture Day(s) and the first home football game. There was information given out on which day your child has pictures.
As far as sporting events go, Monday the girls soccer team plays at home at 5:30. Tuesday, both the boys and girls soccer teams are playing away. The boys are at Washington at 4pm and the girls are at Colonel Richardson at 5:30. Wednesday, golf is at Hogneck, Cross Country is at Atkins Arboretum, and JV football is at Century. Thursday, the boys soccer team plays Colonel Richardson at home at 4pm. The first home football game is Friday v/s Century at 6:30.
Come out and support our student athletes, and don't forget to look nice for your school picture!!!



Grade 10 and 11 students are invited to participate in the PSAT National Merit Scholarship qualifying exam on Wednesday October 16, 2024 at their high school. To participate, please submit your registration form using the following link no later than Thursday September 12, 2024:

Fall athletics officially kicks off today in Viking Stadium with a double header for our varsity soccer teams! Girls' Soccer hosts Kent County High School at 4PM, and Boys' Soccer hosts Kent Island High School immediately after at 5:30PM. Tickets can be pre-purchased at GoFan.co or with credit/debit at the gate.


Cambridge-South Dorchester High School will be utilizing GoFan again for the 2024-2025 school year for all ticketed home athletic events. Adults are $6 and Students are $3 which can be purchased in advance at GoFan.co or purchased via credit/debit at the gate.


This morning, the CSD seniors got ready for their "last first day" of school in Dorchester County by watching the sun rise together. Here are some pictures, although some stayed in the car because it was chilly.






Please welcome C-SDHS graduate , Mya Woods! "Good day to all of you! I'm Mya Woods, the newest special education teacher. This will be my 1st year in education. I am a native of Cambridge, Maryland and graduated from CSDHS in 2017. I graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a bachelor's degree in sociology with a psychology minor." We are so excited to welcome you back home, Ms. Woods!


Coming to our Music department, we would like to introduce, Mr. Shunk! "Hi! My name is Caleb Shunk. This is my 1st year here at CSDHS. I previously taught high school marching band as an assistant director with a school in PA. I went to Lebanon Valley College and have my degrees in Music Education and Performance with a concentration in Tuba."


Next up, we welcome, Ms. Strunk! Ms. Strunk will be joining the Spanish department!


Next up, we have Ms. Stewart! Ms, Stewart is joining our English department! "Hi! My name is Kyra Stewart. This is my first year at CSD and I will be teaching English 9 and 9 honors. I have previously taught 8th and 9th grade. I have a bachelor's degree in secondary English education from Salisbury University. I am excited to be apart of the CSD community this year!"


Freshman Orientation day went a little like this: cheering as they entered the building, first town hall with Mr. Stover, tours by the SGA leaders, Power Lunch, and meeting their teachers. Day 1 down, 4 more years to go!!!!






A brand new school year means the start of the weekly Academic and Athletic calendars!
Monday is a day off for all students and staff.
Tuesday, Freshman are the only students who report for their first day.
Wednesday, All students begin (it's an A Day). Golf plays at Hogneck and Cross Country has a scrimmage v/s ND.
Thursday, Golf is at Prospect Bay and JV Football plays at home v/s North Caroline.
Friday there is an away Football game at North Caroline, and both a Girls and boys Soccer game at home.
Saturday, the cross country team is at an early meet at Fair Hill.
We are excited to have students in the building again - and for the start of fall sports!

In case you haven't heard, the senior class will be meeting for a Senior Sunrise on TUESDAY, September 3rd at 5:45am at Sailwinds park. Although seniors don't technically start until Wednesday, they will be celebrating the start of their senior school year together on Tuesday morning.


Please give a warm welcome to our next "new to us" teacher, Mrs. Reisch. "I grew up in Wicomico County. I attended Indiana Wesleyan University where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies and History with a minor in Psychology. I earned my Masters of Arts in Multicultural Education from Eastern University. I have 22 years of teaching experience. This will be my 5th year with Dorchester County Public Schools. I live in Salisbury with my husband and daughter. We have a cat named Penny." We are so excited for our students to meet Mrs. Reisch!


New to our fine arts department, we would like to welcome, Ms. Sinclair! Ms. Sinclair will be our new Theatre teacher and play director! "Hello! My name is Ms. Sinclair, and I'm the new theatre teacher! I'm also the sponsor for the senior play/spring musical which we will start having monthly meetings for to plan and prepare. I have my degree in theatre education from Illinois State University and hope to start my master's in January!" Welcome to the Viking ship, Ms. Sinclair!


Meet Ms. Angela Lowe! "Hi! My name is Angela Lowe. This is my 4th year in education and my first year here at CSDHS! I love teaching Government, and it was my favorite class! I have bachelor’s degree in psychology from Salisbury University and a master’s degree in teaching from University of Maryland Eastern Shore. I was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and still live here with my two cats, Lily and Luna." We are excited to welcome Ms. Lowe into the History department here at Cambridge-South Dorchester High School!


Meet Mr. Austin Blair, one of our amazing new teachers! Mr. Blair will be teaching Physical Education and Health II and can't wait to begin his journey at Cambridge-South Dorchester High School!
"This is my 5th year teaching. I taught Middle School PE at Lansdowne Middle School in Baltimore County for 2 years, then spent two years teaching PE at Sandy Hill Elementary School, and am now super excited to be here at CSD for year #5"


Next up, we have Mrs. Rank! "Hi! My name is Lisa Rank! This is my 25th year in education and my fourth year as an ESOL teacher. I previously taught high school and middle school English. I earned my BA and MA in English at Washington College and completed my ESOL coursework at Salisbury University." We are proud to welcome Mrs. Rank to the Viking team!
