You may have noticed some new curb appeal at CES!
Choptank partnered with Shore Rivers and the State of Maryland to plant 21 native Maryland trees on our campus. A select few students got the opportunity to make their mark at CES by planting the trees in the front of school. Other trees were planted around the rear of the building with 7 trees planted on the playground.
We cannot wait to watch these trees grow just like our students.

Today CES participated in our annual collaboration with distinguished judges from around Maryland as a part of their Read & Robes program. This program started with 6 judges last year but has grown this year to 13 judges. Our 2nd and 3rd graders were so grateful for the time and energy put into this collaboration. Each student will be bringing home a new book, bag and pencils.
Thank you so much to all involved.

Blurb: Mrs. Travis' 5th grade mathematicians rocked their recent BreakoutEDU challenge! They put their multi-digit multiplication and division skills to the test, working together to crack codes and solve puzzles. It was amazing to see the students collaborate, support each other, and persevere through some tricky problems.
For those unfamiliar, BreakoutEDU is an immersive learning experience where students work in teams to solve a series of puzzles and challenges to "breakout" or open a locked box within a time limit. It's a fantastic way to engage students and reinforce key concepts through hands-on, collaborative problem-solving.
