Parents and Guardians,
High school students enrolled in English 9, 10, 11, and 12 and Corrective Reading will be receiving their MAP Growth Reading test results to bring home the week of October 21st. Please ask your student to share this report with you. Please email or call your student’s English teacher to discuss results if you have any questions or concerns.
To encourage your child:
1)Discuss your student’s strengths and weaknesses with reading.
2) Set goals that are realistic and achievable for improvement.
3) Encourage daily practice with reading and vocabulary.
4) Encourage use of IXL’s personalized MAP Growth Learning Pathway; students may access IXL through Clever.
5) Keep in contact with your student’s English teacher for how to support your student with reading and vocabulary development.
