As Wednesday quickly approaches, The Community School Liaisons are looking forward to presenting Dorchester County with a back-to-school hair drive on August 28, 2024, from 10am-6pm at East New Market Fire Hall (4020 E New Market Bypass) If you have signed up for the back-to-school hair drive and requested transportation, please select appropriate pick-up times and locations in correspondence to hair time slots that you signed up for. Please note, come to the event with freshly washed and dried hair. If you would like any hair accessories you must provide the product. Laptop Distribution for NDHS Students begins next week! -Dual Enrollment Students can pick up laptops on August 14, 15, or 19 from 8am to 3pm. Additional times by appointment only. -All students will be able to pick up laptops on August 27 or 28th from 8am to 3pm or during Back to School Night (August 29th from 2pm to 4pm). All Students will need to have a completed and signed agreement form in order to receive a laptop.

Today was “Orange Out”, honoring Miss Lizzi Cockey, Special Education teacher at Sandy Hill Elementary School, whose life was tragically cut short last month in a road traffic accident. Miss Cockey was a proud member of the Orange Hive at Sandy Hill, and we dressed in orange today to celebrate her life and contributions to SHES.
