Come out and join NDHS Girls Soccer to celebrate the senior girls on the team. Game will start at 5:00pm at Eagle Stadium. Come grab dinner at local food trucks!!

Dorchester County Health Department will be at North Dorchester High School on Thursday, October 16th to provide the flu vaccine to students and staff. A signed consent form must be complete to receive the vaccine. Forms can be obtained at school or the health department.

Monday, October 6, 2025 there is no school due to Parent Teacher Conferences. Teachers will be reaching out to families that they need to speak with regarding grades, behavior, or attendance. You are welcome to reach out to your student's teachers if you would like to schedule a conference that day. Teachers will be available from 8:00am-3:00pm for conferences. With midterms coming home on October 1, 2025 there is still time for students to improve grades prior to the end of the term. We are looking forward to seeing parents and families at NDHS on Parent Teacher Conference Day.

Look for a report with current reading ability coming home with semester 1 Corrective Reading and English class scholars the week of September 29th. Please speak to your scholar’s teacher if you have questions, concerns, or would like ideas for how to support literacy.
Five Tips for Supporting Literacy at Home:
~Encourage summer IXL practice which can be done on cellphones and reading.
~Read in the home, even reading cooking instructions and other practical items or product labels count.
~Reply to one another’s text messages in complete sentences with punctuation and capitalization. (Bragging rights for being an editor and fixing other people’s errors.)
~Watch media with closed captions turned on.
~Go to the public library or check out books from the school library.
