As we prepare for Parent Conferences next week (October 7th), please keep in mind the following:
1. DCPS has an abundance of math resources to help your student practice math at home.
2. DCPS has practice problems relevant for:
- Preparing for upcoming assessments.
- Improving grade-level fluency.
3. Students can also log in to any computer through Clever and receive personalized instruction with iReady and/or play games within ILC.
If you need help or want more information, please ask your child’s teacher at parent conferences next week!

Dear Hurlock Elementary School Families,
Have you (your child) been impacted by incarceration and/or exposed to people struggling with Substance Use Disorder? We might have services that can help you here at HES.
Please see the attached photo below for more information.
The Dorchester County Health Department's Connecting for Success program is offering a free 6-week educational group series about substance abuse and incarceration's for those who have a loved one who is currently detained. These groups will focus on regulating emotions, coping skills, and issues surrounding incarceration and substance use. Group sessions will be held in your child's school and led by a licensed clinical social worker; however, this is not therapy
If you have any questions and/or concerns you can always contact Mrs. Church @churchc@dcpsmd.org
