
Our first graders are officially authors and illustrators! 📖 They researched and became experts on Wild and Endangered Animals. After composing their own informational writing, they sent it away to be published! They received “happy mail” 📦 and revealed their published work! ✏️ 🐒🐍🐸🦅🦁🐘🐺



To kick off our Black History Month Spirit week, we wore shirts with positive or inspirational messages! 💚

Thursday, February 22nd- I Have a Dream Day: Inspired by Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous speech, wear your favorite pjs.
Friday, February 23rd- Black Excellence Day: Wear any HBCU or Divine Nine clothing or colors to celebrate Black Excellence!


Today, our amazing third graders took center stage to share their weather presentations! 🌦️
Our third grade meteorologists showcased their knowledge and creativity, leaving everyone in awe. It was truly inspiring to see their hard work and dedication shine through as they confidently presented their findings.

Today, our school was filled with laughter, joy, and an abundance of love as we celebrated this special day with our students and staff. Happy Valentine's Day! ❤️





Third grade meteorologists shared and collaborated with veteran 4th grade weather experts in preparation for their upcoming family presentations. 🌧️ 🌪️ ☀️







Come out to show your support! Our Maple Lions will be playing the Sandy Hill Bees on Friday, February 16th. The doors open at 5pm and the game starts at 5:30pm. Students are free and adults are $3. There will be hotdogs, chips, candy, and drinks for sale.


Today, our fifth graders had the incredible opportunity to welcome Mr. Bailey, a descendant of Frederick Douglass. It was an inspiring and enlightening experience for our students as they engaged in a thought-provoking conversation about Frederick Douglass's life and legacy.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Bailey for taking the time to share his insights and experiences with our students. It was a truly memorable occasion that we will cherish for years to come.
