Hurlock Elementary

Important Information for Next Week’s 5th Grade NorthBay Trip Dear Families, Next week’s forecast for our NorthBay trip shows temperatures in the mid-40s, so please be sure to pack warm clothing and shoes for your student. If your student is in need of any form of clothing—including jackets, hats, or gloves—please reach out to Ms. McBean (mcbeana@dcpsmd.org) or Ms. Church (churchs@dcpsmd.org) and we’ll be happy to assist. To help minimize luggage and bags on the bus, it is encouraged (but not mandatory) to drop your student off by 8:45 a.m. on Monday with their luggage. The bus will leave promptly at 9:15 a.m., so please ensure your student arrives on time. If you are a chaperone, you are welcome to ride the bus or follow behind in your own vehicle, but please be at the school by 9:15 a.m. If your student takes any medication, please place it in a ziplock bag labeled with their name before sending it in. Just a friendly reminder that it is a school rule that students are not allowed to have phones in school or on this trip. Each student will have the opportunity to call their parent/guardian during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. NorthBay staff will provide each student with their assigned contact number for those calls. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school. Warmly, Hurlock Elementary School ⸻
